Notes & Background

Song RL1 – “Oh! Aayillam Padathe” is considered one of Salil’s most unusual and impressive compositions in Malayalam. Its Hindi counterpart, sung by Asha Bhosle & Chorus, was never released in any film.

The Hindi version is available only on a rare cassette titled “New Hindi Film Songs of Salil Chowdhury”, released by Salil’s own music label CMG, which included several unreleased gems that never appeared in movies. This cassette is now considered a prized collector's item.

The remaining songs of Rasaleela maintain Salil’s lyrical depth and refined melodic construction, performed beautifully by some of Kerala’s most loved playback singers.
