Notes & Background

The song "Thaiyam Thaiyam" is the Malayalam version of Salil’s evergreen Bengali/Hindi classic "Dhitang Dhitang Bole", arranged here with a completely fresh musical treatment.

A highlight of the soundtrack is the unusual and captivating two-part structure of "Kilu Kilum", an original and striking composition by Salil. Its rhythmic design and tonal character stand apart in Malayalam film music.

The most surprising entry is the Russian-influenced track "Dachhin Dachhin", with an unknown singer. The arrangement is distinct and unlike anything else in Salil’s Malayalam repertoire, making it a fascinating rarity.
