Triyaatri follows the journey of three schoolboys on a cycle tour from Mumbai to Kanyakumari — a story of self-discovery, friendship and travel.

While the film contains only two vocal pieces, Salil Chowdhury’s **background score** is the real highlight — especially the stunning orchestral music in the scene where horses run freely in an open meadow.

Notes & Background

*Triyaatri* is one of the lesser-known but beautifully crafted Children’s Film Society productions. Despite having only two vocal compositions, the film is rich in melodic background cues.

The sequence featuring horses running in an open field is often remembered for its **lush, sweeping orchestral backdrop**, showcasing Salil’s mastery in cinematic scoring.

Both “Raghubans” parts are minimalistic yet soulful, carried beautifully by S.P. Balasubrahmanyam’s voice.
