Haaraaner Naatjaamaai (1991) remains an unusual entry in Salil Chowdhury’s filmography. There is uncertainty about its theatrical release status; however, it was shown on television, and an audio cassette was released in 1991.

The film is notable for featuring the only two songs that Anuradha Paudwal ever recorded for Salil (HN1 and HN3), making it historically important for collectors.

Hemanta Mukherjee, who passed away in 1989, appears in the soundtrack — suggesting his song was recorded at least a couple of years before the film’s eventual release.
