Notes & Background

The film opens with the beautifully rendered classical song “Sumaru Tore” by the renowned vocalist Prosun Banerjee. It remains uncertain whether this piece was composed by Salil himself or incorporated later from an existing recording.

Yesudas, despite being an exceptionally gifted singer, delivered one of his weakest Bengali performances in “Aar Bujhite Parinaa”. His flawed accent unintentionally turns this otherwise emotional composition into something awkward and almost humorous for native listeners. Many felt that Sagar Sen — who already sang in the film — would have been the more natural choice.

“Bosey Bosey Ketey Galo” (DB4) was later re-recorded by Antara Chowdhury in the 1990s with a beautifully updated arrangement.

Although Trisito Noyone Eso is melodically strong, much of the album is considered uneven, with a mixture of good ideas and less inspired execution.
